The Casey House was a beach house that was commissioned as a study for a house located on the Gulf of Mexico on Casey Key, Florida. The project consisted of a two part house that was to be completed transparent when it was open with the ability of being completely closed when the owners were not occupying it. The house has two separate houses that can be totally separated if need be and also used separately for two separate families. The open and closed nature of the house also lends itself to hurricane protection from the violent hurricanes that pass through this part of the Gulf of Mexico.
